  • British Flowers Week 2019: Celebrating Northumbrian grown flowers

It's nothing but the best of locally grown produce from 10 - 16 June.

The Flower Folk is proud to be championing the local flower growers in the north east, and as part of the national campaign 'British Flowers Week 2019' we are encouraging people to buy locally sourced blooms. During the week the shop will stock solely locally grown flowers and foliage, and we are super excited about the variety and quality we will have available.

To celebrate we are also holding a few one off events. Kicking off on Monday 10th we will be hosting an evening event from 6pm which will include:

    • Floristry demos (hand tie making etc)
    • Talks by local growers (on what/how/why they grow flowers)
    • Drinks and nibbles (fizz, fresh cordials, cakes provided by Cake Stories!)
    • Instore discounts  (20% off products)
    • General merriment!

    Floristry Workshops Newcastle

On Thursday 13th June we are running a special Floristry Masterclass Workshop for beginners or those with more experience, where participants have the chance to make a hand tied bouquet made solely with freshly picked local blooms and foliage. To book a place and for more info on this workshop CLICK HERE.

Throughout the entire week the shop will have plenty of local blooms for sale, either as individual stems, or bouquets. And all of our deliveries and orders during the week will be made from solely from British grown flowers. To see the bouquets we have available to order online CLICK HERE

Locally grown flowers are incredibly fresh, therefore last longer and doesn't have the environmental impact of buying from further afield. We hope you can join us at some point during the week to show your support of small local businesses and see the amazing produce on offer with your own eyes!
